Some GNU Image Manipulation Program users and developers will go to GUADEC in Stuttgart, Germany from the 29th to the 31st of May, 2005. They will hold a freeform session there, so you can come and ask what they are up to or how you can join them.

The GIMP developers are proud to announce GIMP 2.3.0, the first snapshot of the development that will lead to GIMP 2.4. This release is provided for developers and interested users. Please read the release notes for the development snapshots for more information.

Version 2.2.7 of the GNU Image Manipulation Program has been released. This is a bug-fix release in the stable 2.2 series that fixes a couple of problems that have been reported for GIMP 2.2. The source code is available from the usual places, binary packages will appear soon.

The GIMP developers have released version 2.2.6 of the GNU Image Manipulation Program. This is a bug-fix release in the stable 2.2 series. A large number of problems have been fixed; users are encouraged to update. The source code is available from the usual places, binary packages will appear soon.

In case you wonder about version 2.2.5, it had a bug in the Print plug-in and was immidiately replaced with the 2.2.6 release.

Another bug-fix release in the stable GIMP 2.2 series is now available. The source code can be downloaded from ftp.gimp.org; binary packages will be made available soon. The GIMP Help team has also made a new snapshot of the GIMP user manual.

The source code for a new stable version of the GNU Image Manipulation Program is now available from the usual places. This release fixes a number of problems that people have reported for GIMP 2.2. An update is recommended.

Update: Debian sid already has the binary package, not even five hours after the source was released :)

GIMP version 2.2.2 is a bug-fix release in the stable GIMP 2.2 series. The source code is available from ftp.gimp.org and its mirrors, binary packages for the various platforms should show over the next days.

Fresh from 21C3, GIMP version 2.2.1 has been released. This is a bug-fix release in the stable GIMP 2.2 series. It fixes a couple of problems that have been reported for GIMP 2.2.0; an update is strongly recommended. The sources for GIMP 2.2.1 can be downloaded from the usual places.

The GIMP developers are proud to announce the availability of version 2.2.0 of the GNU Image Manipulation Program. About nine months after version 2.0 hit the road, we have completed another development cycle and can bring a new stable GIMP to our users' desktops.

The GIMP help team is proud to announce the availability of a snapshot of the GIMP user manual for GIMP 2.2. You can download gimp-help-2-0.6 from ftp.gimp.org. We hope that distributions and packagers will include these help files when packaging GIMP 2.2 so that GIMP users have access to context-sensitive help from within GIMP 2.2 simply by pressing the F1 key or by hitting the Help buttons which have been added to most
