GIMP is participating in this year's Summerof Code, "a program that offers student developers stipends to create new open source programs or to help currently established projects." Our project ideas are published at the GIMP Wiki. Students can now apply at the Google web site. Yes, there are prizes: a t-shirt, and 4500 USD for successfully completed projects.
