GIMP News

Barely in time for GIMP's tenth birthday is the 10th Anniversary GIMP Splash Contest. This new contest requires a tutorial with the submissions, so get out your favorite text editor and show us all of the beautiful things you can make your GIMP do. Submit those entries to the contest area of this web site and wait to see if there is a gimp-2.2.10 with your entry as the very special release splash.

Happy Birthday GIMP! (If I remember correctly, 10 was a great age to be....)

A new GIMP development snapshot is now available. GIMP 2.3.5 brings us one step closer to version 2.4 of the GNU Image Manipulation Program. A detailed list of changes is available from developer.gimp.org. If you want to try this unstable development snapshot, please read the release notes for the development releases.

On 17th, 18th and 19th of March 2006, the Libre Graphics Meeting will be held in Lyon, France. The goal of this event is to extend the traditional Gimp Convention to bring together developers and users of the best of Free Software graphics applications - GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Blender and more.

Talks and meetings will be held. More information at the Libre Graphics Meeting web site.
