GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages. This is the official GIMP web site. It contains information about downloading, installing, using, and enhancing it. This site also serves as a distribution point for the latest releases. We try to provide as much information about the GIMP community and related projects as possible. Hopefully you will find what you need here. Grab a properly chilled beverage and enjoy. Version 2.3.10 is a development snapshot leading up to GIMP 2.4. The source code can be downloaded from ftp.gimp.org. Changes are listed at developer.gimp.org. If you want to try this unstable development snapshot, please read the release notes for the development releases. Version 2.2.1 of gimp-gap, the GIMP animation package, is now available. This release features mainly bugfixes but also some new features:
Please note that gimp-gap 2.2.1 requires gimp 2.2 and glib 2.8 or higher. It is recommended to use gtk+ 2.8. The source code can be downloaded from ftp.gimp.org; binary packages should become available soon. GIMP 2.3.9 is the latest and hopefully one of the last development snapshots on our way to version 2.4 of the GNU Image Manipulation Program. The source code can be downloaded from ftp.gimp.org. There are quite a number of changes, all listed at developer.gimp.org. If you want to try this unstable development snapshot, please read the release notes for the development releases GIMP had eight projects accepted for this Summer of Code:
Congratulations to all. |
